Aspiring Managers
You’re already leading without the title. Coaching for senior AEs and sales professionals preparing for their first sales management role.
You’re already leading, without the title. You onboard new reps, you’re the person colleagues ask before they ask the manager, and you’ve started thinking about the team as well as your own number. But the people who make promotion decisions aren’t always seeing it.
The gap is rarely ability. It’s usually visibility, timing and how you tell your leadership story. And sometimes the real question is whether management is the right next step for you at all.
Sound familiar?
You’ve been told you’re “nearly ready”, but nobody can say what ready looks like.
The leadership work you do (mentoring, onboarding, coaching peers) doesn’t show up anywhere.
You’re not sure whether to wait for the role internally or look for new opportunities elsewhere.
You’ve seen top reps become struggling managers, and you don’t want to repeat it.
What we work on
Your promotion case. Built on evidence of how you lead, not on tenure or quota attainment alone.
Visibility. Who needs to see your leadership, and the specific actions that will put it in front of them.
The conversation with your manager. A direct question about what stands in the way, and a plan for the answer.
Preparing for the shift. Understanding what changes when the number becomes the team’s, so you start the role ready rather than learning it the hard way.
Is management right for you?
Not every great seller should become a Manager. Some of the most valuable coaching conversations end with a client choosing a different path deliberately rather than drifting into one. Either way, you’ll leave with clarity.
How coaching works
Discovery. A conversation about where you are, what’s getting in the way, and whether we’re the right fit.
A focused arc. Usually four to six sessions, designed around your real situations: the team, the conversation, the decision in front of you.
Light pre-work. Short, specific preparation so session time goes on coaching, not catching up.
One committed action. Every session ends with one thing you’ll do before the next, so progress shows up in how you lead.
Coaching is confidential and is led by Dan Bognar, a former senior sales executive at HubSpot, DocuSign and Salesforce who has led teams at every level described here.
